Basecamp provides high quality childcare before and after school, and during school holidays. 

Their wonderful, enthusiastic and experienced team take a child-led approach to nurture young imaginations, encourage curiosity, and learn through play.

Basecamp is passionate about play and serious about fun!  

In May 2022 Basecamp was awarded a contract by The Bridge following our tender for a suitable childcare provider to operate from its premises.

Selected for being aligned with our community values, Basecamp has been located here since September 2022, providing childcare for 4-11 year olds before and after school and during school holidays.

Overseen by Lucie Murphy, who ran The Bridge for 5 years, and an East Greenwich mum with two daughters and a Mayoral Civic Award, the Basecamp team are local childcare and community professionals; former teachers, childminders, sports coaches, play workers and SEN specialists with a combined experience of 25 years.

Their aim is to offer enriching childcare in a secure and welcoming environment, and to make it affordable for local families. 

Now well-established, highly valued and strongly recommended, Basecamp is proud to be a childcare provider with purpose.

As a not-for-profit organisation, without any commercial aims, Basecamp is able to focus entirely on quality of care and simply exists to serve and support local families.
