1.1 Enquiries and bookings to use the venue for a private party must be made through The Bridge Party Co-Ordinator; email bridgeparties@gmail.com and the appropriate fee  agreed and paid.

1.2 A non-returnable deposit (to cover administration costs) as specified on the booking form must be paid at the time of booking in order to secure the time and date. This deposit will be deducted from the total hire fee payable.

1.3 A deposit of £50 is required to cover any damages, breakages or breach of conditions during the hire agreement period. The amount of deposit retained in the event of a breach, or considered breach of the conditions, breakages, damages or over running of events will be made entirely at the discretion of the General Manager (supported by the Board) whose decision is final. No correspondence will be entered in to. This condition is without prejudice to any other right of set off exercisable by the Board. 



2.1 The hirer and guests must not bring vehicles (e.g. cars, vans, motorcycles) into the park by order of Royal Borough of Greenwich. The Bridge has a system in place to assit with transporting party goods to and from the park entrance. The party co-ordinator will make this information available to you, prior to your party.

2.2 The hirer must ensure there is no excessive noise or anti-social behaviour within the venue building or grounds. There is to be no amplified music from a sound system or stereo played outside.

2.3 If a commercial inflatable (eg Bouncy Castle) is to be used in the grounds a copy of the supplier’s Public Liability Certificate must be given to The Bridge 7 days before the date of hire. The Bridge takes no responsibility for the use of commercial inflatables.

2.4 The hirer can make use of the hall solely as described within the hire agreement Contract.

2.5 The Bridge East Greenwich CIC, shall not be liable for any loss or damage to person or property from any cause whatsoever (excluding negligence or default of The Bridge) arising out of or in connection with the hirer’s use and occupation of the venue.

2.6 The hirer must report any accidents to the party host and it miust be documented in the accident book.. A first aid kit is available for use in the kitchen area.

2.7 All items belonging to the hirer and/or caterer must be removed from the venue (inside including all internal fixtures and fittings and outside) by the end of the allotted booking time and the venue must be left clean and tidy in accordance with the check list issued to the hirer at the start of the booking period. Failure to do this may result in the retention of the damages deposit (see condition 1.3)

2.8 Buggies and prams must remain outside at all times. Fire exits must be accessible at all times. 

2.9 Children are to be supervised at all times by adults, both inside and outside the venue.  Children not allowed in the store room or office as they contain hazardous materials and there is a risk of injury/accident. 

2.10 The hirer must place all rubbish in the appropriate sacks provided by the venue. Dry, recycling rubbish must go in clear recycling sacks and non-recycling rubbish (including all food and party ware) into black sacks. Please do not put any black sacks or food waste in the blue recycling bin outside – this is for recycling waste only. Your party host will dispose of the rubbish bags in the appropriate bins at the back of the building. 

2.11 The hirer must bring all large, outdoor toys that belong to The Bridge to the door of the outside container so that the host can put them away in the relevant place. 

2.12 The outside container should remain closed for the duration of the party and children must not be allowed inside the container as it poses a health and safety risk.

2.13 You must have cleaned the venue as per the check list given to you at the start of the hire period and be ready to vacate the hall at the time specified in your contract.

2.14 The hirer is responsible for any damage to the venue and it’s contents (inside or outside) caused by the use of the venue by the hirer or their guests.  All damages must be reported to the Party Host at the end of the hire period and failure to do so will be considered a breach of the conditions. The venue will be inspected at the end of the hire period and any breakages or damages reported to the General Manager (see 1.3).

2.15 Party decorations must be attached by string or thread using the hooks provided and cleared away before the end of the hire period.  Pins (other than on notice-boards), nails, safety pins, sticky tape or adhesives must not be used. In line with the ethos of The Bridge, party decorations must be non-toxic and biodegradable where possible. If the products are non-degradable eg: balloons, streamers, confetti, Orbeez, water balloons, aerosol string, slime, pinatas, party poppers, the hirer must clear away and remove all traces before vacating the venue at the end of the hire period. These pose an environmental and health risk. Failure to do so will be considered a breach of conditions.

2.16 Chewing gum and smoking (including vaping) are not permitted in the venue or grounds. 

2.17 Management reserve the right to enter the venue at all times and stop any practice, deemed unacceptable or after due consideration of complaints from local residents.

2.18 The hirer must remove any helium canisters at the end of the agreed hire period. Failure to do so will be considered a breach of conditions.



3.1 The period of hire is as specified on the contract. 


4.1 A £25 non-returnable deposit is required to secure the booking along with a signed copy of the contract and terms and conditions. The £50 damages deposit must also be paid at the time of making the booking. The remaining balance must clear in The Bridge CIC account by the Thursday prior to your hire date. If we do not receive the balance in accordance with this, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your damages deposit.
