Eve Daniels


Profession: Owner/Director of a nursery school for under-fives.

Past profession experience: 2 years in management consultancy and business development to help small businesses grow and retain value, 20 years in sales and marketing in the Advertising industry within large corporates, SME and consumer markets and in my youth, I was a PA to a Canadian Stock Broker.

Past personal experience: Mother of 4 children and lived in the Royal Borough of Greenwich for 45 years. Have a large network of friends, family and acquaintances and knowledge of the local area.  Sit on a number of local committees, schools and businesses.

Length of service at The Bridge: 1 year in management and 6 years as Chair

Emma Page


Profession: Secondary school English teacher, education writer and consultant

Past profession experience: Secondary school English teacher for 9 years; 4 years working on secondary school improvement for London Borough of Tower Hamlets; freelance writing and consulting (working for National Literacy Trust, Teach First, Shakespeare's Globe and various educational publishers and schools)

Past personal experience: Have lived in the borough for 14 years. Mother to two boys at local primary (Halstow) and local nursery (More2Childcare).

Length of service at The Bridge: volunteered at Friday Play & Stay 2014-2016; Director 2016-present da

Fariha Husain


Profession: Stay at home mother and accountant

Past profession experience: Worked as a Financial Services Auditor at Price Waterhouse Coopers for 4 years, specialising in investment management and fund platform clients. My work included financial statements, regulatory and controls assurance audits.

Past personal experience: Mother of 2 children. I have lived in a number of countries over the last few years, including the US, UAE and Pakistan, and have now returned to London. 

Length of service at The Bridge: 3 month

Jon Thorn

Director of Strategy

Profession: Civil servant – post 16 education. Currently refinancing of FE Colleges, Sixth Form Colleges becoming academies.

Past profession experience:  20 years in a range of senior roles in post 16 education, including advising Greater London Authority on skills policy; 7 years on apprenticeships engaging corporates and SMEs; 3 years marketing & communications.

Past personal experience:  Father to two boys, and resident in the Royal Borough of Greenwich since 1995 having grown up in South West of England.  Member of the Friends of East Greenwich Pleasaunce since its inception.

Length of service at The Bridge: 6 year

Claire Duncombe

Director of Policy

Profession: Forest School Leader

Past Professional experience: Worked in environmental education for 17 years.  Initially teaching national curriculum based subjects to all age groups in Epping Forest. I later trained as a Forest School Leader and developed a programme of visits for Inner London schools.  In the last 7 years, I have delivered Forest School sessions in Greenwich schools and nurseries.

Past personal experience:  I have 2 young children and have lived in Greenwich for 15 years.  As well as volunteering at the Bridge I also volunteer for the Woodlands Farm Trust. 

Length of Service at The Bridge: I have volunteered at the bridge for 3 years, running stay and play and forest school sessions.  I have been a director for 3 years.

Ruth Cracknell

Director & Manager of Gardens & Outdoor Activities

Profession:  Developing a new career in outdoor education!  I run the Gardening Club and manage Forest School at The Bridge.  Currently completing Forest School training.

Past profession experience:  Background is in Direct Marketing and media, fundraising and communications.  Working in not-for-profit sector including Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth, freelanced in a number including the National Childbirth Trust, National Maritime Museum and Greenwich Foundation,

Past personal experience: Have lived in the borough since 1988. Mother to two children attending local primary and secondary schools.  Was actively involved as a parent in supporting school fundraising activities and also worked as a volunteer running gardening activities and taking care of the playground.

Length of service at The Bridge:  Started working as a volunteer helping with Forest School in 2015.  Became a Director in July 2015.

Harriet Totty

Director of Marketing & Communication

Profession: Public Relations

Past profession experience: 8 years in financial communications advising both private and listed companies predominantly in the financial services sector on corporate profile raising and product PR.  During a 5-year career break, I have undertaken short term freelance PR work and have enjoyed being more involved in the local community.

Past personal experience: Mother of 3 young children attending Halstow Primary School, having lived in the Royal Borough of Greenwich for 16 years. I am also on the Friends of East Greenwich Pleasaunce committee with a publicity remit and try to provide support to the school's fundraising activities wherever possible.

Length of service at The Bridge: 18 months as a play and stay session volunteer, 3 years PR support and a Director since March 2017.
