CONDITIONS OF HIRE
- USE OF HALL
1.1 Enquiries and bookings to use the hall must be made to a committee member of The Bridge and the appropriate fee agreed and paid.
1.2 A non-returnable deposit (to cover initial administration costs) as specified on the booking form must be paid at the time of booking in order to secure the time and date. This deposit will be deducted from the total hire fee payable.
2. CONDITIONS OF USE
2.1 As the premises are in a park, the hirer and guests must not bring vehicles into the park. The Bridge has a trolley for all hirer’s – they can load their items for the party into the trolley at the entrance to the park and walk them up to the Bridge – a party host will be able to help if needed. And the reverse happens at the end of the party. If a guest lives locally they can take the trolley to their home and load the items there and then walk over with the trolley.
2.2 They must ensure that there is no excessive noise or unacceptable form of behaviour when in the vicinity of the exterior of the hall. There is to be no amplified music from a sound system or stereo played outside.
2.3 If any commercial Inflatable (Bouncy Castle or the like) is to be used in the grounds a copy of the owner’s Public Liability certificate must be given to the Bridge 7 days before the date of hire
2.4 The hirer can make use of the hall as specified in the ‘Use of the Hall’ on the Booking Form.
2.5 The Bridge East Greenwich CIC, shall not be liable for any loss or damage to person or property which may arise from any cause whatsoever (excluding negligence or default of The Bridge) arising out of or in connection with the hirer’s use and occupation of the hall.
2.6 The hirer must report any accidents to children in the accidents book as common practice. A first aid kit is available for use in the office.
2.7 All items belonging to the hirer and/or caterer must be removed from the hall on the same day and the hall must be left clean and tidy.
2.8 Buggies and prams must remain out side, when in the building they are a hazard and will block fire exits. All fire exits must be assessable.
2.9 The store room and office should be locked whilst children are around as it houses hazardous materials.
2.10 The hirer must place all rubbish in plastic sacks provided by the hirer (found in the storeroom). Recycling rubbish should go into clear recycling sacks and non recycling rubbish into black sacks. Please do not put any black sacks or food waste into the blue recycling bin outside – this is for recycling waste only. Your party host will sort your rubbish bags at the end of the party.
2.11 The hirer must make sure all large toys are replaced in the outside storage unit at the end of the party, it should be locked and the keys replaced in the office. The outside container should remain closed during the party and no children are allowed inside the container as it poses a health and safety risk.
2.12 The hirer must make sure all the smaller toys are returned to the right storage boxes and either returned to the store room or baby/book area. (as they were found)
2.13 All music must finish and the hall vacated as specified on the booking form.
2.14 The hirer is responsible for any damage to the hall and its contents occurring as a result of the use of the hall by the hirer. The hall will be inspected after the hire period. Any breakages must be reported at the end of the hire.
2.15 Any decorations must only be attached by string or thread to the hooks provided and cleared away afterwards. Blu Tak, pins (other than on notice-boards), nails, safety pins, sticky tape or adhesives must not be used in the hall.
2.16 No chewing gum or smoking is allowed in the hall or any rooms appertaining thereto.
2.17 A committee member of The Bridge can enter the hall at all times and has the right to stop any entertainment or meeting which in his opinion is not acceptable to be carried on in the hall or after due consideration of any complaints from local residents.
2.18 The hirer must remove any helium canisters used from The Bridge after the hire period.
- PERIOD OF HIRE
3.1 The period of hire is as specified on the booking form.
- PAYMENT OF THE HIRE FEE
4.1 £25 is required to secure your booking along with the returned contract and terms and conditions. The remaining balance should be paid no later than 7 days prior to the date your party is held on unless you have had agreement from the Bridge to an alternative arrangement.
